Our Commitment

Good Food, Responsibly Sourced

We believe that exceptional food and ethical practice are not in conflict — they are inseparable. This is our commitment to the planet, to the people who produce our food, and to the generations who will inherit both.

Our Framework

Four Pillars of Responsibility

Responsible Sourcing

We work exclusively with producers who practise sustainable agriculture, maintain biodiversity and avoid the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilisers wherever possible. Over 65% of our product range carries an organic, fair trade or equivalent third-party certification.

Our Commitments

  • Annual on-site visits to all primary suppliers
  • Preference for producers with organic or equivalent certification
  • Zero tolerance for child labour or exploitative practices
  • Prioritising smallholder and cooperative producers

Packaging & Waste

We are committed to eliminating single-use plastic from our packaging by the end of 2025. Our current packaging is 94% recyclable or compostable, and we are actively working with our logistics partners to reduce the overall volume of packaging material used per order.

Our Commitments

  • 94% recyclable or compostable packaging
  • Plastic-free target by end of 2025
  • Recycled cardboard for all outer boxes
  • Biodegradable void fill replacing polystyrene

Fair Trade & Community

We believe that the price of a product should reflect the true cost of producing it — including a fair return for the people who grow, harvest and craft it. We pay above-market rates to all our suppliers and actively support the communities in which they operate through our Producers Fund.

Our Commitments

  • Above-market pricing for all suppliers
  • Annual Producers Fund contribution of 1% of revenue
  • Support for producer cooperatives in developing markets
  • Transparent supply chain published annually

Carbon & Climate

We have committed to achieving carbon-neutral operations by 2027. This includes our offices, warehouse, and the logistics of delivering orders across the UK. We are currently measuring our full Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and will publish our baseline report in Q2 2025.

Our Commitments

  • Carbon-neutral operations target: 2027
  • Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions measurement underway
  • Partnership with DHL GoGreen for last-mile delivery
  • Tree planting programme: 1 tree per order over £50
